RAYOVAC BONUS SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Sweepstakes starts November 27, 2009 and ends July 31, 2010. Sweepstakes open to all legal residents of the U.S. who are 18 years of age or older as of November 27, 2009. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. Rayovac employees, their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings and children and their spouses) or members of the same household (whether related or not), its affiliates, partners, subsidiaries or parent companies, its advertising agencies and any other company involved with the design, production, execution or distribution of this promotion and their immediate families or household members are NOT eligible to play.
1. TO PLAY: Rayovac will distribute approximately 15,000,000 AA, AAA, C, D and 9V battery packages to participating retailers. All packages will have a game piece inside the package. Visit any participating retail location and purchase one or more of the above named battery packages. Remove the game piece and read the message. If it says that you have won a prize, call the number indicated on the game piece for instructions on how to claim your prize. All prizes must be claimed by August 19, 2010. By participating, you agree to abide by and be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the sponsor and the independent judging agency, which are final and binding in all respects.
2. TO REQUEST A FREE GAME PIECE: Send a stamped, self addressed envelope, postmarked no later than July 31, 2010, to be received by August 9, 2010 to: Rayovac Bonus Sweepstakes, PO Box 1287, Dept. GP, Mason, OH 45040. Vermont residents may omit return postage. If your game piece says that you have won a prize, follow the instructions above to claim your prize. All prizes must
be claimed by August 19, 2010. Limit one (1) game piece per valid request. Each request must be mailed separately; multiple requests in one envelope will be void.
3. ODDS OF WINNING: Grand Prize 1:15,000,000. First Place Prizes 1:3,000,000
4. PRIZES. One (1) Grand Prize - $500,000 (Annuity, paid $20,000 per year for 25 years). Approx. Retail Value (ARV) $500,000. Five (5) First Place Prizes-$5,000 cash (check). ARV $5,000 each. Winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, as well as any fees and expenses, incurred in claiming and using the prize. Any expenses not mentioned are the sole responsibility of the winner. Limit one (1) Grand or First Place Prize per person or family. Please allow 8-10 weeks following conclusion of the verification process to receive prize, provided prize claim is verified.
5. GENERAL: No photocopies or other attempts to defraud the game will be eligible. Prize claims will be verified before any prize is awarded. If by reason of a printing or other error, more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these Official Rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be included in a random drawing to award the advertised number of prizes available in the prize category in question. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded. Any unclaimed prize(s) will not be awarded. A game piece (including but not limited to the code) will be void if it is determined to be mechanically reproduced, photocopied, forged, altered or tampered with in any way, or if it contains printing or mechanical errors or if it is obtained outside authorized, legitimate channels. Winners of prizes will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability / Publicity Release and return it within 7 days of attempted delivery or prize may be forfeited. All winners hereby consent to the use of their names, voices and/or likenesses by the Sponsor for advertising purposes without additional compensation unless otherwise prohibited by law. By playing, participants agree to be bound by the Official Rules of the game. By playing the game, participants, winners (and their families) and guests (and their families) release Sponsor and its parents, partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, agents, employees, promotional partners, advertising agencies, their respective shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents, assigns and all others associated with the development and execution of the Sweepstakes from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from the Sweepstakes and/or use of prizes, including, without limitation, liability for personal injury, damage or loss.

ANY PERSON ATTEMPTING TO DEFRAUD OR IN ANY WAY TAMPER WITH OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE
GAME WILL BE INELIGIBLE FOR PRIZES AND WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW. SPONSOR RESERVES
THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON.
